          RENTOKIL INITIAL FREE FLOAT WEIGHTING

Rentokil  Initial  plc announces that  yesterday's  press
release from FTSE International regarding a reduction  in
the Rentokil Initial free float weighting, reported on in
a  Financial Times article today, is incorrect as  it  is
based on out-of-date information.

The Rentokil Initial market weighting will remain at 100%
in June 2001 and will not be reduced.
