FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Reliance Security Group plc
New PFI Contract
The directors of Reliance Security Group plc are pleased to announce that
Reliance Secure Task Management Limited, its specialist custodial services and
secure facilities management business, in partnership with Ballast plc, has
been awarded a new PFI contract. The contract, with Sussex Police Authority,
is worth in excess of £90m over 30 years and is one of the largest PFI
contracts to be awarded in the police service to date.
The contract is for the provision of a number of new buildings and a wide
range of facilities and support services to Sussex Police. Due to the timing
of the construction programme income from the facilities management contract
is not envisaged to impact Reliance until 2002.
Geoff Haslehurst, Managing Director of Reliance Security Group plc, said: 'We
are delighted that Reliance Secure Task Management has been chosen by Sussex
Police Authority to develop this ambitious project. Through a long term
partnership, we look forward to providing innovative solutions that add
significant value in this ground-breaking and modern approach to traditional
policing needs.'
