RELIANCE SECURITY GROUP PLC
The board of Reliance Security Group plc ('Reliance') announces that Lord Lane
of Horsell, who became a non-executive director in 1992, will retire in April
2001, the end of the current financial year.
Brian Kingham, Reliance Chairman, said 'We owe a great debt of gratitude to
Lord Lane who has been closely associated with Reliance since 1974 and
involved in all the significant decisions in our growth from 3 employees to
more than 8,000 today. He has been a great inspiration and has provided
Reliance with a breadth of experience, judgement and vision available to few
small businesses. His guidance and wisdom has helped to develop Reliance into
a market leader in contract security, electronic surveillance, facilities
management and support services. On behalf of the Board, I wish him every
happiness in his retirement.'
