                      Appointment of Group Managing Director

Reliance Security Group plc ('Reliance') announces that Geoff Haslehurst,
Group Finance Director for the last five years, is to become Group Managing
Director from 17 April 2001.  With effect from 17 April, 2001, Neil French
joins Reliance to become Group Finance Director.  Mr. French was previously
Finance Director of Perry Group plc, APV plc and Group Financial Controller of
Lex Service PLC.

Brian Kingham, Chairman of Reliance Security Group plc, said: 'These moves
follow a number of senior management appointments over the last year in our
operating businesses.   We are now further strengthening our group management
team.  Investing in our strategy of building on our specialisms and ability to
add value for customers in the fast-growing security, facilities management
