Syama Sulphide Processing Circuit Update

Resolute Mining Limited (Resolute or the Company) (ASX/LSE: RSG) advises that the planned 36 day shutdown of the Syama sulphide processing circuit in October 2021 (refer to ASX announcement dated 29 July 2021) has been deferred to February 2022.

The key activity planned in this shutdown is a refurbishment of the Roaster refractory lining. Condition monitoring systems implemented in the last major shutdown in late 2019 show that the Roaster structure remains in good condition and supports the delay of the shutdown to February 2022.  Performance of the sulphide processing circuit during the September quarter has been in line with the prior quarter and expectations. Deferral of the shutdown reduces potential delays associated with an extended wet season and rainfall which has, to date, been higher than average.

A seven day shutdown is now planned to commence in late October 2021 to complete routine maintenance, install an onstream analyser and sulphide cleaner cells, which are expected to further improve the performance of the sulphide processing circuit.  

A mill re-line which had previously been scheduled for mid-2022 will be brought forward to align with the revised shutdown in February 2022 to minimise down-time.

Resolute maintains its production guidance of between 315,000oz to 340,000oz at an all in sustaining cost per ounce of between US$1,290/oz and US$1,365/oz reflecting t he additional sulphide gold production in the December quarter offset by the impacts of a wetter than expected September 2021 quarter.
