        Publication of Report & Accounts 2003 and current trading update



The Restaurant Group plc today announces that it has published its Report &
Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2003.



The Chairman's statement included in the Report & Accounts provides an update on
current trading for the first three months of 2004 during which group like for
like sales grew 3%.



The Company's AGM will be held on 26 May 2004.



A copy of the above document has been submitted to the UK Listing Authority, and
will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document
