CITY CENTRE RESTAURANTS PLC
AGM STATEMENT
At the AGM of City Centre Restaurants plc held today, James
Naylor, Chief Executive, made the following comments on
current trading:
'We are continuing to see the benefits of the strategy put
in place in 1999. Sales in the first third of this
financial year are on budget and ahead of last year on a
like for like basis.
'Since the start of the year we have opened 10 of 30 new
restaurants planned for this year and these are trading
satisfactorily. We are also well advanced with our annual
programme of reinvesting in our established restaurants.
'Overall, with less disruption than last year, and market
conditions that are generally favourable, we approach the
remainder of the year with confidence.'
