                               Board Appointment


The Board of City Centre Restaurants plc is pleased to announce, the appointment
of Mr Kevin Bacon (aged 43) to the Board, effective on 1 July 2003.

He joined City Centre Restaurants in 1996, as an Area Manager for Frankie &
Benny's.  He subsequently had a number of roles at Frankie & Benny's becoming
Operations Manager in 1998, Operations Director in 2000 and Managing Director in
2002.

Prior to City Centre he had retail experience with Granada Motorway Services Ltd
(1995-6), Forte Roadside Restaurants Ltd (1987 to 1995) and Currys Ltd (Dixons
Plc) (1977 to 1987).

Alan Jackson, Executive Chairman of City Centre Restaurants plc, said:
