The Restaurant Group plc announces that Mrs Patricia Corzine, a director, has
today exercised options to subscribe for ordinary shares in the Company as
follows:

Following the exercise, Mrs Corzine has then today sold 271,462 ordinary shares
at 98 pence per share.

Mrs Corzine now holds 45,000 ordinary shares in the Company.
