RTS NetWorks Group PLC ( 'RTS NetWorks' or 'the Company')
Intranet, internet and wireless company RTS NetWorks, now operating under the
commercial brand RTSe, has made a number of senior management appointments to
co-ordinate and drive its business strategy.
Executive Chairman, David Ward-Perkins, commented :
'The new brand RTSe will allow us to develop synergy across different
countries and provide a single offering to our major clients in Europe and
North America. We have recruited top professionals to channel the potential in
our different business units and continue to build our business'.
Appointments include Tony Harrison as a senior executive of the company, and
Eric Rothbarth as Chief Financial Officer.
Tony joins from GE Information Services, a global leader in
business-to-business e-commerce solutions and a subsidiary of General
Electric. He played a key role in building the e-commerce business for General
Electric in Europe, as Managing Director of the UK operation, and leading the
Europe, Middle East & Africa team.
Eric Rothbarth is a chartered accountant, and has many years' commercial
experience, primarily in service sector companies in both the United States
and Europe, as a chief financial officer. He joins RTSe from Armor Holdings,
Inc.
Hannu Arvelo, one of the original founders of RTS Networks, has been appointed
Chief Technical officer, having acted as Managing Director since the Company's
admission to AIM, and will now be focusing on co-ordination of technical
strategy and R&D.
The Company has recently made a number of other appointments to strengthen the
management team. Pekka Inkinen, previously at Lucent Technology, has been
appointed Managing Director of RTSe Finland; Jussi Teeriaho, previously at
ICL, has been appointed Sales Manager, also of RTSe Finland; Andy Kidd,
previously at GE, joins the UK operation as Sales Manager; and Gabriel Descat,
previously at Suunto, has been appointed Finance Manager of RTSe France.
RTS Networks, which was admitted to trading on AIM in December 1999, is the
holding company of the Group which trades under the name RTSe. RTSe provides
internet, extranet, web and wireless solutions for enterprises, helping
customers design and build business applications. RTSe is an innovator in the
field of WAP-based wireless solutions. The Company has offices in Finland, the
UK, France and the United States.
