Total Voting Rights


In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, The
Restaurant Group plc ('The Restaurant Group' or the 'Company') is required to
notify the market of the following:


At the date of this announcement, The Restaurant Group's capital consists of
195,067,263 ordinary shares of 28 1/8 pence each, with voting rights.


The above figure (195,067,263) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in The Restaurant Group under
the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
