RTS NetWorks Group PLC
15 December 2000
RTS NetWorks Group PLC ('RTS Networks' or 'the Group')
Trading Update
Revenues and revenues per head in the second half to date have increased
significantly over the first half performance. The Group's order backlog is
higher than at any time previously. In particular, the Group has received
significant orders in the fourth quarter.
Consistent with changes in the e-business market, the Company is undertaking
larger projects, for more discerning clients. Given the delay due to the
longer cycle of order placement for such projects, these orders will
principally benefit first quarter 2001 revenues. Therefore fourth quarter
revenues for this year will not be as high as anticipated at the time of our
Interim Announcement of 5 October 2000.
With these orders, RTS NetWorks is focusing on its core strengths of content
management, transaction management (e-commerce) and related wireless
applications. These are proving to be the competencies necessary to build
effective and profitable e-business solutions.
Executive Chairman, David Ward-Perkins, commented:
'Our strategy is to concentrate our business on our core strengths, and to
develop the Group's business organically and through acquisition.'
