The Company was informed that following the purchase of 60,000 ordinary shares
of 12.5p each ('Ordinary Shares') on 2 November 2001 by Standard Life
Investments, Standard Life Group has a beneficial interest in 989,000 Ordinary
Shares, representing 4.2% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital. The
above Ordinary Shares are registered in the name of Stanlife Nominees Limited.
