                            Substantial Shareholder

The Company was informed on 6 August, 2002, that, on 5 August, 2002, Standard
Life Investments, on behalf of Standard Life Group, purchased 155,000 ordinary
shares of 12.5p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"). Following this,
Standard Life Group has a beneficial interest in 1,502,000 Ordinary Shares
representing 6.3% of the issued Ordinary Share capital. The above shares are
registered in the name of Stanlife Nominees Limited.
