Radstone Technology PLC
$1.3 Million Order awarded by Lockheed Martin
"...High performance solutions for the most demanding
of defence applications..."
Radstone Technology PLC (LSE:RST) today announced that it had received
authorisation to disclose that in January it received an order in excess of $1.3
million from Lockheed Martin's Undersea Systems line of business in Syracuse,
NY, for a range of products from Radstone's ICS Sensor Processing business. The
products will provide optimum signal processing performance in harsh
environments, and Lockheed Martin will integrate them into a commercial
off-the-shelf (COTS)-based system that it is developing for an international
customer. Radstone expects to receive orders for up to an additional eight
systems over the next ten or more years.
Jeff Perrin, Chief Executive of Radstone Technology PLC commented;
"We are delighted to have received this order from Lockheed Martin not least
because it confirms our belief that ICS products are capable of offering
cost-effective, high performance solutions for the most demanding of defence
applications. It also demonstrates the synergies in making ICS products
available through Radstone's larger sales force, resulting in contract wins that
would previously not have been possible: this win is one of the largest that ICS
has ever secured."
Radstone Technology PLC acquired ICS Sensor Processing (Interactive Circuits and
Systems Limited) in September 2003. Headquartered in Ottawa, Canada and
specialising in the development of leading edge products and systems designed
for fast growing markets such as data acquisition, sensor processing and
Software Defined Radio, ICS is now part of Radstone's Embedded Computing
business.
