                         Notice of Preliminary Results

Rensburg will announce its preliminary results for the year ended 30 November
2004 on 15 February 2005.

The Board of Rensburg has appointed Rothschild as Financial Adviser to
complement Fenchurch Advisory Partners in connection with evaluating the
proposed merger with Carr Sheppards Crosthwaite Limited as well as any other
proposals which may emerge for the group, including any potential offer from
Rathbone Brothers plc.  Rothschild's principal role will involve providing an
independent fairness opinion to the Board of Rensburg on the financial terms of
any transaction being recommended to shareholders.

The Board of Rensburg emphasises that there can be no certainty that an offer
will be made nor as to the terms on which an offer might be made.  Further
announcements will be made when appropriate.
