The Company announces that on 27 February 2008 Dave Shemmans, Chief Executive
Officer of Ricardo plc, exercised a share option over 2,814 ordinary shares in
Ricardo plc granted under the Company's 2002 SAYE share option scheme. The
shares were allotted accordingly on the same day and the price paid was £2.334
per share. This represents a holding acquired of 0.01%.

His total holding following notification is 22,527 ordinary shares, being 0.04%
of the Company's issued share capital. In addition, Dave Shemmans has
conditional awards and share options outstanding over 382,318 ordinary shares,
being 0.75% of the Company's issued share capital.
