A Board meeting to consider the supplementary capital and preference dividends
for the above company was held at the above registered address on 21st November
2000.

The rate for the Supplementary Capital dividend is 30.0488p per Capital share
payable on 2nd January 2001 to shareholders on the register as at 1st December
2000.

The rate for the Preference dividend is 5.5p per Preference share payable on 2nd
January 2001 to shareholders on the register as at 1st December 2000.
