The results of the various meetings of Rights and Issues Investment Trust plc ("The Company") held today are as follows:

Capital Shareholders Meeting

The resolution consenting to the Company's proposed new articles of association was passed.

Income Shareholders Meeting

The resolution consenting to the Company's proposed new articles of association was passed.

Preference Shareholders Meeting

The meeting was inquorate and was adjourned to 12.17 pm on 4^th April 2013 at No. 1 Poultry, London EC2R 8JR.

General Meeting

Special resolution 1 adopting the Company's proposed new articles of association was passed, subject to ratification by preference shareholders at their reconvened meeting on 4^th April 2013.

Special resolution 2 releasing the Company's rights in respect of excess dividends was passed.
