Further to the Company's announcement dated 6 October 2011 regarding its investment in Renshaw Bay, RIT Capital Partners plc is pleased to confirm the appointment of Bill Winters as a non-executive director, effective today.

Additional disclosures relating to Mr Winters, pursuant to the UKLA Listing Rules and Disclosure and Transparency Rules:

1.   Mr Winters is not currently a director of any other publicly quoted companies and there are no past directorships of publicly quoted companies held in the past five years.

2.   There are no details requiring disclosure under paragraphs 9.6.13 R (2) to (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules.

3.   Mr Winters has no beneficial interest in the ordinary shares of the Company.
