RIT Capital Partners plc (the 'Company') announces the following information
relating to a share repurchase, pursuant to Listing Rule 12.4.6R and Disclosure
and Transparency Rule 5.5.1R:
1. Date of purchase: 21 January 2008
2. No. of equity shares purchased: 137,000
3. Highest Purchase Price: 991p per ordinary share
Lowest Purchase Price: 988p per ordinary share
4a. No. of equity shares purchased
for cancellation 137,000
4b. No. of equity shares purchased to
be held as treasury shares: NIL
The above purchase was made in accordance with the shareholders' authority
granted at the Company's Annual General Meeting held on 19 July 2007.
The Company does not hold any of its own shares in treasury.
The issued share capital of the Company following the cancellation of the shares
purchased will comprise 154,822,582 ordinary shares of £1 each.
