('Caldwell' or 'the Company)
FURTHER ORDERS FOR NINASUN
The Board of Caldwell, the AIM listed creator of the 'NinaSun' patented range of
solar protection furniture, is pleased to update shareholders today on the
ongoing successful roll-out of the NinaSun product range.
Since the Company's formal roll-out began in the middle of January, Caldwell has
received orders from fourteen garden centres around the UK. These orders are
from selected, upmarket independent garden centres and follow the recent
appointment of Neil Gow as Managing Director of Caldwell, with his long
experience in this sector.
The Company is also delighted to announce today that Grattan, one of the UK's
big five catalogue companies, which placed an initial NinaSun order in January,
has since placed two further repeat orders for NinaSun product.
The Company has also recently received orders from Radisson Resort & Casino
Hotel, Aruba and Moveis e Estofas, a major distributor to the hospitality trade
in the Algarve, for both NinaSun furniture and NinaSun retrofit canopies for
Grossfillex and Ballui resin loungers.
Sales from the NinaSun website have also been encouraging, with the month of
April showing a six-fold uplift against the previous year.
Although the value of any individual order relative to total group turnover is
small, the growing interest is of particular importance to Caldwell, as it
illustrates the desirability of the product and enhances the market's awareness
of the NinaSun product range.
Neil Gow, Managing Director of Caldwell, commented: 'We believe that the NinaSun
furniture range has been well positioned to appeal to the market place. The
initial reaction from independent, quality, garden centres, the repeat orders
from Grattan, and the overseas orders received from the Algarve and Aruba are
all extremely encouraging. It is still early in the season and we believe that
the orders and prospects for NinaSun will only improve as the year continues.'
