RM SELECTED TO PROVIDE MATHS LEARNING SYSTEMS TO ALL OF CORNWALL LEA'S
PRIMARY SCHOOLS

ANALYST SITE VISIT

RM plc, the UK's leading supplier of ICT software, services and systems to
education, has secured its largest ever single order for mathematics
learning systems.  The company has been selected by Cornwall Local
Education Authority (LEA) to provide its RM Maths Learning System and RM
Snapshot Numeracy software products and the computer hardware to run them
on.  The two-year project, which has an estimated revenue value of
£840,000, will support the teaching of maths to six to eight year-olds in
all of Cornwall's 246 primary schools.  Cornwall is the first LEA to make
a strategic decision to use RM's mathematics learning software across all
of its schools.

RM Maths Learning System is a learning software package designed to
support the teaching and learning of the entire mathematics curriculum
from ages 5 to 11.  RM Snapshot Numeracy is a new assessment package
designed to allow schools to quickly and accurately gauge the mathematical
knowledge and understanding of their pupils.

Commenting on the project, Richard Girling, RM's Chief Executive, said,
'Developing numeracy is a key priority for primary education in the UK.
RM's maths learning systems have a proven ability to improve standards in
mathematics.  I'm delighted to be working with an authority that
recognises that a combination of innovative software and excellent
teachers can make a real difference for pupils.'

RM plc is today hosting a site visit for analysts to its head office in
Abingdon, Oxfordshire during which presentations will be made on the
following areas:

*  Development of the Group's RM.com Internet strategy including
           *B2B e-relationships with schools
           *RM's aggregated application service provider model for
            providing learning content

*  Update on progress of the Group's Learning Schools Programme activity
   to provide ICT training to teachers in the UK

*  Update on the Group's growing managed service business

There will also be a tour of various areas of the Group's facilities.

The visit is intended to give analysts a more in-depth understanding of
the Group's businesses and no statement will be made on current trading.
