RM plc received yesterday, a letter dated 5 April 2001 from SLC Asset Management
Limited which stated the following in respect of their interests in the shares
of the Company, which are notifiable.

'I have to advise you, under Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, that funds
managed on behalf of Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada (UK) Ltd. and SLC Pooled
Pensions Ltd. currently have an overall 5.17% interest in your company's
ordinary shares.'
