RM re-appointed supplier to Tesco Computers for Schools scheme
RM plc, the leading supplier of ICT software and services to UK education, has been appointed by Tesco Stores to
provide the computers and software for the 2003 Tesco Computers for Schools (TCFS) scheme. This is the fourth year RM
has been awarded the contract and the 12th year of the TCFS scheme.
In 2002, more than 24,000 schools registered to take part in the programme, bringing the total value of ICT provided to
schools through the 11-year life of the scheme to over £77m. Last year RM provided over 3,600 computers and 74,000
additional items of ICT equipment to schools via the scheme.
Commenting on the announcement, Tim Pearson, CEO of RM said:
'I am delighted that against strong competition Tesco has chosen RM as its partner for another year. The TCFS scheme is
an excellent programme providing valuable ICT equipment and software to schools and providing support for around 50
small educational software publishers too.'
