RM plc re directorate
RM plc (RM), the leading provider of information and communications technology
to UK schools, announces that after sixteen years as a senior director, John
Netherton, Customers and Markets Director, is to stand down from the Board
with effect from 23 March 2001. Mr Netherton has for some time been
considering this step to enable him to continue to serve the group, but at a
level where he can secure his desired balance of commitment to the business
and to his family.
Mr Netherton joined RM in 1985 as Sales and Marketing Director. Whilst he will
no longer sit on RM's board, he will now focus his efforts on seeking new
opportunities to develop the group's business in international markets.
Richard Girling, Chief Executive of RM plc said: 'We would like to take this
opportunity to thank John for the outstanding contribution he has made to RM
plc during his sixteen years with the company. In the last six months he has
had a key role in developing the new organisational structure within RM to
create three separate customer focused businesses, each with its own
management team and customer ownerships. The new structure is now in place and
progressing well, enabling John to move to his new role.
'We are delighted he will remain with the company and look forward to
continuing to benefit from his considerable experience and advice going
forward.'
