RM confirms Southwark Schools for the Future secondary programme contract

RM confirms that it has reached financial close for a contract to provide managed IT services to the Southwark Schools for the Future secondary programme. RM announced on 12 November 2008 that it had been appointed selected bidder for the contract.

RM is part of the successful team led by Balfour Beatty (trading as Transform Schools), which has joined Southwark Council and Building Schools for the Future Initiatives in '4 Futures', the Southwark Local Education Partnership. 4 Futures will now deliver seven secondary school rebuilds, two brand new schools and four building refurbishments across Southwark, and the services to support them.

Terry Sweeney, Chief Executive of RM, said:

'It's great news that we've completed contractual negotiations and can now turn to delivering ICT for Southwark Schools for the Future secondary programme. We look forward to working with our Transform Schools partners, and with the schools in Southwark, to provide a transformational service that helps teachers to teach and learners to learn.'
