                        RM plc - purchase of own shares



RM plc announces that yesterday it purchased for cancellation 20,000 ordinary
shares of 2p each at a price of 162p per share. The shares purchased represent
approximately 0.02% of the Group's issued share capital.

Notes:



A special resolution was passed at RM's AGM on 23 January 2006 renewing the
Group's permission to make market purchases of up to a total 9,072,970 shares
(10% of shares in issue).



When added to the 10,250 shares purchased on 28 June 2006 the cumulative
purchases made under this authority now amount to approximately 0.03% of the
Group's issued share capital.
