New lease for The Harcourt Arms in Stanton Harcourt
The Barkby Group PLC, the diversified business group, is pleased to announce that Barkby Hospitality has entered into a new six-year leasehold agreement for The Harcourt Arms, in the village of Stanton Harcourt in Oxfordshire. The Harcourt Arms is a 17th century village pub that holds 2 AA Rosettes and 5 AA Gold Stars.
Following a four-year transformation project, the pub now boasts nine high-quality letting rooms and one master suite. The pub and dining rooms offer both formal and informal hospitality, totalling 125 covers. In addition, the pub also owns The Harcourt Stores, a popular delicatessen and local shop.
The addition of The Harcourt Arms is in line with the Group's strategy to expand its portfolio of top-quality pubs with accommodation to take advantage of the trend away from branded pubs and large hotels and the demand for quality food and local produce. Barkby Pubs' portfolio now consists of seven premises with a total of 67 rooms.
Charles Dickson, Executive Chairman of The Barkby Group Plc, commented:
"We are delighted to add The Harcourt Arms to our growing portfolio. The pub offers visitors the ultimate village pub experience with excellent food and service. It perfectly fits our proposition and we very much welcome them into The Barkby Group."
