AGM Trading Update
At the Company's Annual General Meeting held today, the Chairman, Timothy
Barker, made the following comments:
'In the announcement of our preliminary results for the year ended 31 December
2004 I said that the current year had started well and that net fee income in
the first quarter would exceed that achieved in the same period of 2004. In the
event, net fee income in the first quarter was around 30% higher than in the
first quarter of last year.'
'Growth in the Group's net fee income in the first quarter has continued into
the second quarter which gives us confidence in achieving an outcome in line
with current market expectations.'
