ROBERT WALTERS
TRADING UPDATE
Robert Walters announces that business conditions across the majority of its
markets have deteriorated over recent weeks. The permanent and information
technology businesses have been particularly affected. However, the contract
business outside information technology has proved more resilient to date.
Although the current economic environment and the nature of the business make
it very difficult to look ahead, the Company currently expects the trading
outcome for the full year to be slightly below the lower end of analyst
expectations, and remains cautious on the outlook for next year.
The Company will continue to review rigorously all areas of expenditure but
will not make short term decisions that impair its ability to take advantage of
markets as they recover.
