The Board of NewMedia SPARK plc (the 'Company') announces that application has
been made for the admission of 1,285,714 new Ordinary Shares of 2.5p each in
the capital of the Company to trading on AIM.
The shares have been issued pursuant to an agreement between the Company and
one of the founders of Dx3 Holding Limited ('Dx3'), one of the investments
comprising the portfolio of the Company, to acquire part of his stake for
humanitarian reasons. He will remain closely involved with the management of
Dx3. This transaction will bring the Company's holding in Dx3 to approximately
55.6%.
Trading in the new Ordinary Shares is expected to commence on 21st February
2001.
