NewMedia SPARK PLC 20 March 2002 20 March 2002 NewMedia SPARK plc appoints David R W Potter as Non-Executive Director NewMedia SPARK plc ('SPARK') announces that it has today appointed David Potter, former Deputy Chairman of Investec Bank UK as a non-executive director. David, 57, brings significant Board level experience having held executive and non-executive directorships in financial services and technology related industries. From 1990-1998, David was Group CEO of Guinness Mahon Group, incorporating Henderson Crosthwaite and Guinness Flight. Following the sale of these businesses to Investec in 1999, David was appointed Deputy Chairman of Investec Bank UK and played a key role in the integration of the companies. Between 1981-1989, David was a Managing Director of Samuel Montagu, Midland Montagu and Midland Global Corporate Banking. Prior to that he was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston and its predecessor companies (1969-1981). David also has considerable experience of working with smaller private and early stage companies gained through his non-executive roles. He is currently a non-executive director of WMC Public Relations, Noble Group, Omega UK, DictaScribe (Chairman), EON Lifestyle (Chairman) and InfoCandy (Chairman). He is also Treasurer of Kings College London. Previous non-executive roles include Tyndall plc, Thomas Cook and the London Film Commission (Chairman).
