Purchase of own shares


NewMedia SPARK plc (the 'Company')



The Company announces that today it purchased 1,000,000 of its Ordinary Shares
of 2.5p at a price of 14.88p per share.

These shares will be held in Treasury.

This purchase equates to 0.24% of the Company's issued share capital.

Following this purchase the Company has 472,735,729 Ordinary shares in issue of
which 55,390,949 are now held as Treasury shares.
