Norish PLC 19 July 2000 NORISH PLC ACQUISITION EXTENDS NORISH UK AMBIENT WAREHOUSING NETWORK Norish plc announces the acquisition from RSH Flowers (Distribution) Ltd. of the goodwill and fixed assets of its ambient warehousing business based at Beningbrough, near York. The consideration of Stg£350,000 is payable in cash on completion. Norish's subsidiary, BWA, will enter into a 10-year lease of the premises, with option and pre-emption rights. Norish plans to conduct similar use of the facility including the ambient warehousing of ingredients and raw materials for confectionery and food manufacturers. Norish has an extensive UK network of ambient warehouses specialising in the importation, storage, part processing and delivery of cocoa, coffee and other products on behalf of commodity dealers, importers and manufacturers. Its principal locations are in Belvedere (Kent), Felixstowe, Teesport, Hull, Liverpool, and York. Norish also operates a network of five cold stores in England and Wales. Commenting on the announcement today, Paul Byrne, Chief Executive of Norish plc said: 'The acquisition of 105,000 sq. ft. of modern warehousing space on the 10 acre Beningbrough site enables BWA to further expand its business, and to continue to broaden its base by handling a range of non-commodity products. It also provides a strategically located facility close to several major customers in the North East of England.'
