Norish is pleased to announce that it has purchased a cold store in Gillingham,
Kent at a cost of £3.1m from Scottish Widows.
The purchase will be funded by a combination of surplus cash and a 15 year term
loan provided by HSBC.
The Gillingham cold store has excellent access to the M2, M25 & M20, serving a
catchment area which will include the populous of Greater London, the South
East and the ports of Tilbury, Thamesport, Sheerness and Dover.
The 6,000 pallet capacity site will be able to offer frozen and chilled storage
and logistics services together with blast freezing capacity. Situated in 2.5
acre site on The Gillingham Business Park, the 44,519 sq. ft. facility will
compliment Norish's other cold store sites which are strategically located in
the United Kingdom and will offer additional much needed capacity in the South
East.
