ROLLS-ROYCE APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR
OF CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS


Rolls-Royce plc, the global civil aerospace, defence, marine and energy group,
announced today the appointment of Tim Blythe as Director of Corporate
Communications.

Mr Blythe joins Rolls-Royce from WH Smith Group where he was Director of
Corporate Affairs, following previous experience in public relations with
Brunswick Group, the National Westminster Bank and the Department of Trade and
Industry.
