Singapore Airlines to order 30 Trent XWB-powered A350-900 aircraft

Singapore Airlines has announced its intention to order 30 additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. The order takes the total number of A350 aircraft ordered by Singapore Airlines to 70 aircraft.

In addition, Singapore Airlines has agreed options for 20 more A350-900 aircraft that may be converted at a later date to larger A350-1000 aircraft.

The Trent XWB is the most efficient large civil aero engine flying in the world today and is the only engine of choice for the A350. It is the fastest-selling member of the Rolls-Royce family of six Trent engines, with more than 1,300 already sold to 35 customers.
