               ROTORK ACQUIRES AUSTRALIAN VALVE ACTUATOR BUSINESS

Rotork, the specialist engineer, today announces the acquisition of the business
and assets of Deanquip Valve Automation from Deanquip Sales Pty Ltd of
Melbourne, Australia, for a total cash consideration of £818,000 (of which
£126,000 is deferred).

The General Manager of the DVA business, Lyndon Dean, will continue in that role
within Rotork.

Commenting on the acquisition, Bill Whiteley, Chief Executive of Rotork plc
said:

'DVA is a successful and well-established distributor of fluid power valve
actuator products in the Australasian market place.  DVA will now become the
focus for Rotork's Fluid Power product and service offerings throughout
Australasia.

The purchase of DVA demonstrates Rotork's commitment to growing its Fluid Power
business worldwide, both through investment in capital and human resources.'
