Date: For immediate release, 22 April 2005
ROTORK plc
AGM STATEMENT
The buoyant levels of order input we saw in the final quarter of 2004 have
continued into the first quarter of 2005. All three actuator businesses are
ahead on order intake compared with the same period in the prior year. Activity
levels for the main electric business have been particularly strong with most
major markets showing good levels of growth. The IQT and AWT ranges launched in
2003 continue to demonstrate impressive progress and this has been supported by
a good reception of the digital control systems and Skilmatic SI range launched
in the second half of last year.
The order book has increased 15% since the year end, despite higher comparative
output levels, giving the Board confidence that the Group will meet its
expectations for the current year notwithstanding an unhelpful currency
environment.
We are expecting to release audited restated IFRS 2004 accounts before the
interim announcement.
