Rotork plc, the specialist engineering group, announces the appointment of Mr
R.H. Arnold as an Executive Director.  Mr Arnold is President of Rotork
Controls, Inc. and, as such, will continue to have particular responsibility
for Rotork Group's interests in the Americas.


Mr Arnold has been President of Rotork Controls, Inc., whose manufacturing
plant is based in Rochester, New York State, USA, since 1988, prior to which
he was Vice-President, Engineering after joining as Engineering Manager in
1978.
