                  Appointment of Group Chief Operating Officer


Rotork the specialist engineering company announces the appointment effective
1st October 2007 of Peter France as Group Chief Operating Officer.

Peter is a Director of Rotork p.l.c. and is currently Managing Director of
Rotork Fluid Systems.

Group Chief Executive Bill Whiteley said:
