Rotork, the specialist engineering company, announces that Bill Whiteley, Chief
Executive, will be retiring at the Group's AGM on 2 May 2008. Bill will be
succeeded by Peter France, currently Chief Operating Officer of the Group, who
will be appointed Chief Executive at the AGM.
Roger Lockwood, Chairman of Rotork, commented:
'On behalf of the Board of Rotork, I extend our appreciation and thanks to Bill
Whiteley for the enormous contribution he has made to the success of the Group
in achieving world market leadership in its chosen specialist sector. Bill has
put in place an experienced and capable senior management team and leaves the
Group in a very strong position.
'Peter France has been employed by Rotork for approximately 20 years in
increasingly senior roles. Since 2001, Peter has been Managing Director of
Rotork's Fluid Power division, which has delivered exceptional growth in recent
years. We look forward to Peter now turning his talents and energy to the
further development of the whole Group.'
