Rotork plc the specialist engineering company announces the appointment of Ian
King as a Non-Executive Director.  Mr King is currently Group Managing Director,
Customer Service and Support, BAe Systems plc and is a member of that Company's
Executive Committee.

Mr King was a Director of Alvis plc within 5 years preceding the date of this
announcement.
