On bargain date 7 April 2004 1,818 ( one thousand eight hundred and eighteen)
9.5% cumulative preference shares of £1 each were bought in for cancellation at
a price per share of £1.73 which together with the 1,249 such shares bought in
for cancellation and previously notified in March 2004 will  leave a residue
still in issue of  47,739 such shares following cancellations. The Company will
continue to purchase for cancellation remaining shares in this class as they
become available.
