RS GROUP PLC
CEO LEAVE OF ABSENCE
RS Group plc announces that the Board has agreed for Lindsley Ruth, Chief Executive Officer, to take a leave of absence from the business due to personal reasons with immediate effect. The Company is providing Lindsley with support and the Board will work with him to determine the next steps.
In Lindsley's absence, a management structure is in place to ensure continuity and maintain momentum in the execution of the Group's strategy. Rona Fairhead, Chair, said:
"Under Lindsley we have built a great business and he has our support through this period. The Board are very grateful to David and our experienced senior management team for stepping up and we are confident that we will maintain good momentum in the business. The Company has established a strong position for continued growth, with fantastic people and a clear strategy which resonates with our customers and suppliers and delivers consistent gains in market share. I will be available to provide whatever support David and the broader management team need."
A further update will be provided in due course.
RS Group today released its results for the half year ended 30 September 2022 as scheduled. The Company has delivered another strong revenue and profit performance in the first half and trading over the first four weeks of the second half has been in line with our expectations.
