The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsley Ruth as Group Chief Executive of Electrocomponents plc with effect from 1 April 2015. Lindsley will be based at the Group's headquarters in Oxford.
Lindsley is currently Executive Vice President of the Future Electronics Group of companies, the fourth largest electronics distributor in the world with global turnover of over $5bn. Lindsley, who has worked for Future since 2002, has been a key member of the core leadership team which has transformed the organisation's performance and expanded its global reach over recent years.
Lindsley has both a BSc in Engineering (Industrial Distribution) and a Masters in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. He previously held senior positions with TTI Inc and Solectron Corporation.
As previously announced, Ian Mason will step down as Group Chief Executive on 31 March 2015.
