Electrocomponents plc announces that Bertrand Bodson will be standing down as Non-Executive Director on 31 May 2021 having served for six years on the Board. As disclosed in the 2020 Annual Report and Accounts, the Company further confirms that Karen Guerra will be standing down as Non-Executive Director on 31 December 2020 as planned.

Peter Johnson, Chair of the Company, commented: "On behalf of the Company, I would like to thank both Bertrand and Karen for their significant involvement over the years and wish them well for the future. Bertrand has played an instrumental role in supporting the Company's Digital journey and Karen's contribution has included her outstanding work on the employee engagement initiative."

As announced in October, Baroness Rona Fairhead will become the Chairman of the Board in February 2021. As the search for a new Chairman is now complete, the Company announces the following changes to the Nomination Committee:

· David Sleath will stand down as Chairman of the Nomination Committee effective 31 January 2021 and will remain a member of the Committee; and

· Baroness Rona Fairhead, currently an independent Non-Executive Director on the Board, takes over as Chairman of the Nomination Committee effective from 1 February 2021.
