AorTech International plc ('the Company') announces that it received
notification today from Union Investment Management Ltd that Silverslaggan AB, a
company beneficially owned by Mr Peter Gyllenhammar, acquired 40,000 Ordinary
Shares in the Company on 15 April 2004.

This increases his interest to 455,417 Ordinary Shares representing
approximately 11.95% of the issued Ordinary Share capital of the Company.
