Sabien Technology Group plc
('Sabien' or 'the Company')
New contract
Sabien, the manufacturer and supplier of M2G, an energy efficiency technology, is pleased to announce it has been awarded an initial order from the UK's leading fixed line telecoms operator for £118,950. The order represents the first phase of M2G installations for this client.
This first phase roll out comes as a direct result of a successful Project 10 pilot which delivered savings in energy consumption and CO2 emissions of up to 36%.
The buildings included in the pilot already have Building Management Systems (BMS) in place and M2G was integrated with, and complemented, the existing BMS delivering further energy savings. Sabien's measurement and monitoring package for calculating and verifying savings was independently observed and verified by AEA Technology, a leading energy and climate change consultancy which was contracted by the client.
Alan O'Brien, Chief Executive Officer for Sabien said:
'The deployment of M2G further demonstrates our client's commitment to delivering on their target of reducing their carbon intensity by 80% by 2020.
Our Project 10 pilots have proven to be very successful in demonstrating to our blue chip participants that reductions in energy and CO2 emission of up to 37% can be achieved using M2G. All of our Project 10 clients continue to refine their energy and carbon reduction strategies which are being driven by the Government's Carbon Reduction Committment legislation which begins in April 2010. This new legislation is accelerating the need for organisations to implement these strategies and M2G is playing a key role in achieving our clients targets'
